first, the burr trail road construction is now completed. all those drainages between the bottom of the switchbacks and the halls creek overlook have been paved over to allow water to drain below the now raised road instead of washing them out. nice.
after a casual start mid morning we enjoyed a nice hike down halls creek to the halls creek narrows. temps were near perfect, mid 70's, very pleasant walking. we enjoyed the views for a couple hours then came to the mouth of halls creek narrows. in short order we reached an incredible undercut w/ many seeps against the back wall. must have been 250' +/- up and 100' + in ? impressive.
there was water thruout the canyon, but unless we wanted to swim we didn't have to. the water was crystal clear and slightly green in deeper pools. really nice.
it goes on for awhile, bending back on itself constantly, displaying some nice tiger striped walls, and then you pop out.
cool !
