Can anyone point me to a trip report or give some beta for the technical version of Calf Creek (i.e. down upper/lower falls)? Particularly rap lengths and anchor types/locations.

Thanks.

Bring a 200' rope. The rappel is approximately 150' and the anchor is a tree 40' back from the lip.

Try to do the Lower Calf Creek Falls rappel with as little fan fair as possible. I expect that if this becomes a popular route those in charge will close the route to canyoneers....

It also chews up ropes. Where the rope crosses the ledge, about at the halfway point (on the rope), the rope slides sideways and tends to get cut up. Use a big rope. move the rope after each rappeller. Can also set up a guided rappel to trees out across the pond, if you bring 300' ropes. Has less impact on the environment, and easier on your ropes.

The water is COLD!!!!!
