I am thinking about heading up here in a week or two. Would spring run off be an issue? Any other beta I should know?
TIA |

I was up there on the 18th. Josh and I were using the Red Ledges area for rappel & anchor training all that morning then hiked to the hot springs in the afternoon. The Red Ledges is a great red rock training area close to those who live in Utah valley. There are plenty of bolted and trad climbing routes and top bolted rap stations including one 80ish foot free hanging rap seen from the parking lot that drops in front of the half-arch there. Well worth checking out!
The runoff makes the river high. The waterfall at the springs was a real torrent; higher than I have ever seen it. There is a smaller pool on the south side of the river that is quite cold because of the river over running it, but the main pools on the north side of the river are nice and hot!
I hope to get up there this sunday for another round of training and soaking! :a: |

I don't think there is a time that 5th water hot springs are ever bad is there?
I have gone at least 30 times in my life but most of those have been before the changes. I would not be too concerned. |
