|
|
Hey all,
I'm going to have a group in the Cedar Mesa area over the holiday, and was wondering if anyone has been in Gravel, Cheesebox (West or East), Hideout, Fry and/or Black Hole recently? What are the water levels like? (Although, I know there has been some recent storms, so maybe that's changed.) How was the road (2271) to Gravel and West Cheese? Passable by cars, high clearance needed, or do you need 4wd?
Thanks for any info!

just got back from a 5 day trip on sunday
all roads were very dry and easily passable w/ a 2wd.
(keep in mind i drive a very modified land rover, so take it for what it's worth)
2271 and all adjacent 22.. roads were very clear. camping was nice on the north side of gravel from the jacob chair side. road up to jacob chair was good.
the water in all the canyons were very low
the black hole had quite a bit less water than when we did it last year, but still very cold. |
