|
|
SOLD ON 05/21/08 for $455.00
$500 obo with $20 shipping/handling/insurance.
Convertible Feathered Friends 10F Penguin backpacking sleeping bag for 1 person (3lbs 9oz) or 2 persons (4lbs 8oz). You can’t beat that weight reduction with 2 separate bags, and snuggling tends to lower the temp rating even further. :naughty:
This custom made Feathered Friends 10F Penguin down backpacking sleeping bag was only used twice. Bag is exactly like new. No dirt and no damage at all.
This bag can be used as a single zippered together or double when zippered to the groundsheet. Insulation comes from loft. Down that is under the person gets squashed, does not provide any insulation and is just ballast in the backpack. The groundsheet allows the use of one wide sleeping bag for two people, saving a lot of weight.
Feathered Friends makes premier quality bags. Very light, but very warm.
Brand: Feather Friends
Model: Penguin
Min temp: 10F
Size: Regular (for 6’). Wide at the bottom. Double draft rolls cover the zippers.
Down: 750 weight goose
Outer shell: EPIC water resistant breathable shell*
Color: Sage
Groundsheet: Toucan with zippers to attach the bag + hoods and straps for thermarest style mattresses.
Included are 2 very lofty removable "Deluxe" hoods that can be attached to the bag for one person or to the groundsheet for two people.
The following weights were measured
Bag: 51 oz (3lbs 3 oz)
Groundsheet: 7.7 oz
Hoods: 6.5oz each
A new set would cost: $465 + $65 + $125 = $655

* EPIC by Nextec® fabric. It's water resistant, windproof, breathable and washable. But how? Our patented Nextec® encapsulation process is what makes it possible. The protection is inside the fabric, encapsulating the actual fibers for weatherproof performance. No laminates. No coatings. |
