Here is an informative article on the attacks. It sounds to me like California needs something to put the fear of humans back into these pests. My answer would be our own D.A.A. :rifle:

Oh boy -- more hysteria, hand-wringing and caterwauling. If you'll note, it's ALWAYS in areas where the human population has encroached into wild areas. Then there's bear attacks, rattlesnakes bites, cougar attacks and yes, coyote attacks. Blame sprawl.
Simply put, if you're uneasy about nature, don't friggin' move near it. Live in the city. Suck your thumb.
I watched one of the videos detailing the coyote attacks on children and noticed the people being interviewed (the parents of the kids) were all very large and somewhat slow-witted. Maybe this is natural selection. Which begs the question: Is it wise to interfere with evolution? The human herd needs improvement....
I'm sure this will give the dog-killer crowd another handy excuse to pursue blood sport under the excuse that they're providing some sort of public service. |
