I live in the boonies and I am very limited on what I can get. I have Direct TV and have been limited to dial-up until about 2 years ago. I buddies wife is a sells manager for Baja, I have talked with him about service and he said to go with someone else.
Quote: The only thing I would caution on is the installation techs for both companies suck. One ass drilled a hole right in my living room wall about 14 inches off the ground, even though I had prewired, preterminated, and extensively labeled everything in my network closet. He's lucky i wasn't home at the time or I would have wrung his little neck! If you can, just install it yourself, but again, not sure how tech saavy you are so might not be a good idea. It's a little tricky.
I agree with that. Each receiver needs to be connected directly to the dish. The installers don't care how it gets into the house. They came out to redo my dish when we got a second receiver, and although I had plates where the TVs were, he ran the cable out of the wall and right to the box. So I have a cable coming out of the square hole behind the TV. One more place for mice to get in. I have heard of dish network chopping up their cable so that it can't be used when they remove their boxes and dish when changing to some one else. |
