Once again Alex bestowed upon me some permits down Westwater Canyon. We drove down with Adam and Mark.
We woke up at 2am Sunday morning :scared: and were in Westwater at around 8:00 am, and I was back home around 11:00 pm. ouch
So the Colorado was around 13,000 cfs, which is over triple what we ran it in August. Some of the rapids were buried, but the water was moving very fast.
We were in a group with 5 boats, and as usual, everybody was really cool.
One more thing... Phil got dumped on Skull Rapid, but he was back in the boat in about 2 minutes. Very scary.

We were all patiently waiting today for a TR. NICE NICE NICE!!!!! Great photos. :2thumbs:
Skull scared the poo poo out of me when I did it last year. One in our party dumped his boat. SUCKED! But at least he had stories to tell. Glad you guys made it back! |
