was out in gs/enm over the weekend exploring around wolverine canyon. is there an easier way up onto wolverine bench than the moki steps and crack climb i hauled my pack laden ass up ? i started at the wolverine th adn just past the 1st side canyon entered from the east there is a side canyon on the west where i found moki steps that took me up to a crack and much huffing and puffing to the bench above. nice views up there. at the head of a slot north of that i also found an old shovel in a small alcove. made me think there has to be an easier way up ! maybe something on the horse canyon side ? or closer to the 2's confluence ?
what is a shovel doing there ? some hidden cache of precious metal? mob money ? alien artifacts ? :popcorn: no idea how old it is, was pretty weathered. |
