Hey everyone! On April 19, 2008, Boise State University’s Outdoor Program will be hosting its annual “Buck Off” climbing competition. The 2008 event will mark our 16th annual climbing competition. The Buck Off is the premier climbing competition in the Boise area. The event hosts youth, beginner, intermediate and advanced climbing categories and regularly brings out 100 competitors and over 200 spectators.
The annual competition is designed to promote Idaho’s bountiful climbing resources, regional access issues, and introduce competitors to local climbing advocacy groups. Boise, ID is a progressive, healthy lifestyle community with excellent access to 4-season recreation sites and an abundance of bouldering, traditional, and sport climbing sites. The competition serves as an excellent opportunity to expose the community to the value of climbing as a lifetime sports activity. The annual event unites the outdoor community by bringing everyone together to celebrate the outdoors and to share the enthusiasm and passion we all feel when we are doing what we love. |
