Hi Philippe, and welcome!
As a foreigner as well, I'll just clarify that Canadians can use their insurance on rentals in the US as well. I still don't think they want us to take them off the road, though... :haha:
My rental shots:
Et maintenant, possiblement nous pouvons commencer à Bogley une section française... C'est vrai que je parle seulement lentement et mal - et comme un Québécois - mais je peux essayer!
On second thought, your English would be much better than my high school French! |

I put that into a translation widget, and it says that you said, "My hovercraft is full of eels." |

By the way: I have a passion for France. One of my favorite countries. Maybe we can trade houses for a month? HAHA!!
Hi !
I will be pleased to meet you on a trail, you will recognize me easily because of my terrible french accent :haha:
I live in an appartment in the suburbs of Paris (about 15 miles), where do you live in Colorado ?

PARIS!!! One of my favorite cities in the world!! Last time I was there I stayed in a flat in the Marais area. loved it! :)
I live in between Aspen and Vail in a small town called Glenwood Springs. Right near I-70 which takes you directly into Utah within 2 hours. HEY.....this could work!! Apartment/House trade made via Bogley. |

Ciao, welcome to the forum from an italian "cousin" :haha: and congrats for the beautiful pictures on your website, you've been to a lot of places :2thumbs:
I often travel to Paris (even though not as much as in the SouthWest  ), maybe because I feel very "connected" with the french culture and art, some of my favourite poets/writers are form your country and I've extensively studied (and still do) their works, Rimbaud, Baudelaire, Verlaine, Mallarmé, Jarry, Artaud, Blanchot, Lautréamont, just to name a few, and I greatly admire a french philosopher, Gilles Deleuze...btw, this summer I'll be in Washington and Oregon too with my wife and my little baby, well it's not decided yet but it's 85%...
Ciao!

Hi,
You were lucky to have a flat in Marais, it is one of the most typical part of Paris and centrally located. I rent a flat for my daughter at the border of Marais, it is nice but very expensive !
I spent a night in 2006 in Glenwood Spings, on my way from Crested Butte to Grand Mesa, but I had no time to hike to the nice Hanging Lake close to this town. |

Hi Marco !
Thank you for this welcoming from an Italian "cousin" and for your compliment about my mictures even if I am on the opposite edge of photographic sophistication and quality than you (large format for you, bridge camera for me :haha: ). On the walls of your home in Milan, you have probably wonderful large pictures that you've shot during your trips in the Southwest. I've been to many more places in the Southwest than the ones shown on my website which are mostly the places I visited since 2006 (before I had no digital camera). I also plan a summer trip in North California, Oregon and Washington for this year.
You know much more about the french writers / poets than most french people do (including me), congratulations ! It reminds me a story when I was visiting the castle of Versailles with american friends. Looking to some old paintings, I was explaining some historic stuff about France to their daughter and at one time I had nothing more to say about these paintings. Immediatly, my american friend (the mother of the daughter) began to explain much more historical stuff about these french paintings and I was just listening her and learning interesting facts.
If you plan to come to Paris, feel free to send me a MP !
Au revoir

I am happy to have several American friends in Utah (Moab, Escalante, Cedar City...), Arizona, California and New Mexico. Once, I was lucky to met Tanya from Bogley who is wellknown in Europe by the lovers of the Southwest because of her excellent website www.zionnational-park.com
I enjoy Bogley for the interesting information, nice reports and good pictures that can be found there :2thumbs: ... and maybe during a next trip will I have a chance to meet some of its friendly members in the wilderness.

Thank you Philippe for your kind words, yes, I do have some terrific 32x40" prints hanging on my walls :cool2: , but I have to admit that photographing with a large format camera really slows you down a lot and you miss a lot of shots, in some situations, for example with fast changing light, a DSRL or a medium format is much more desiderable...
