This past Saturday got out of the house and invited my brother-in-law and his cousin for a hike in Zion. When I found out they had never done Angles Landing we had to go. It was the most crowded I have ever seen it in my four or five summits. It was a steady stream of people going up and down and the usual wait ledges were not big enough. I almost turned around because of how un-safe it was. But we decided to be careful and pushed on. Once on top I found an isolated place to eat lunch and then twenty people sat down right next to me. :ne_nau: :frustrated: Oh well, good to get out of the house in fine weather and the first sun burn of the year.

From earlier posts it looks like Oldno7 and I may have crossed paths.

Wonderful pictures! :2thumbs:

The sky is so beautiful with the puffy white clouds. It does look as though the snow is almost gone. Can't wait to get back for a visit!

Thanks!

I don't think I have posted a self portrait yet, I'll have to go back and look. Though I haven't posted canyoneering pics because of the lack of a helmet, people that I roll with don't wear them either. Helmet police will be after me. Though I plan on getting a helmet after fireman-belaying a buddy on a rappel he dislodged a rock, he warned me and I just move my head out of the way before it crashes into my scull. Wasn't big enough rock or high enough distance to cause serious injury. Though it would have hurt, maybe cut me, and we may have had to turn around (first optional rappel). That is my testimony on helmets and my sinning for not wearing them. I was just about to create a thread on helmets until you did. I have tried on a few. I was leaning towards the BD Half Dome (most comfortable for me fit wise) until everyone was raving about the Petzl Elios. I think I tried a too small of a size in that one. So I plan on dropping by the Outdoor Outlet and try some more on before making my decision.

Plus you'll get see what I look like if we still plan on Bridge Mountain Arch & Lady Mountain hikes. :2thumbs:

No one will pick on you if you post pictures of you without a helmet! You are a big boy and can make up your own mind, but I agree it's much safer to wear them.

Yeah... guys! We need a Lady Mountain.Bridge Mountain Date.
