A few weeks ago I bought a pair of 2008 Honda Rancher 4x4s, and we've taken them out riding the past three weekends. So far we've only done easy rides close to home, mostly so my wife can get used to riding her machine. I'll be getting out onto a lot of trails in the Swell this year, so I hope to post a lot of trip reports in this section. Here are some pictures from the last couple of weeks.
Our first ride:
This is where the dog rides:
At the Grassy Trail Creek petroglyphs:
Lunch! :lol8:
The setup:
Riding the old railroad grade near Helper:
An old wooden culvert under the railroad grade near Kenilworth:
The old mining road up Bull Hollow, north of Kenilworth:
Our turnaround point in Bull Hollow (the snow was too deep):

Yeah, the vast majority of the miles we put on so far have been nice and mellow. There have been a few places where we had to spot each other and apply a little weight here and there to keep at least three wheels on the ground. The dog only rides with me when we're cruisin', but on the slow/rocky stuff she's running alongside trying not to get run over. :lol8: |

| I'd love top hear trail reports from the swell. We're headed to Moab this weekend...it seems like a shame to drive past the swell and not stop for a ride. |
