So, I get asked ALL THE TIME by every one of my friends and relatives to "keep an eye out for a good deal" on a mountain bike.
Well, I don't see these deals, because I'm not shopping for a bike.
So, I took a glance at the 500+ mountain bikes for sale on KSL Classifieds, and wondered if it would be worth it to start a thread for decent deals found there.
Here's the link for Mountain Bikes for sale:
http://www.ksl.com/?nid=486&cat=191
Here are a couple for the beginning class. I've got no idea what will happen to this photo once it's sold, I guess we'll see...
$200
24 speed GT Mountain Bike with an incredibly strong and light-weight Triple Triangle Frame.
$250
Diamondback Mtn. Bike
slc, UT 84121 - Mar 23, 2008
Diamondback X2 DBR series mtn. bike: size med., marzocchi bomber flylight air front shock, rock shox deluxe rear, both 4 inch travel, disc brakes, shimano LX components, 27 speeds,
$300
KHS mountain bike
BRIGHAM CITY, UT 84302 - Mar 13, 2008
This Bike is in good condition. it has after market disk brakes that work awesome. any questions please call 435-225-3513
So anyways, maybe this thread will fizzle out, but the bottom line is, anybody should be able to get into mountain biking with us once a week.
I only surfed around for 5 minutes to get these. I never went above the $300 range. I'd suggest even looking into the $500 - $600 range if you are an intermediate rider. |

Pretty good. I had a ride a week and a half ago down south. It hurt for a bit, but then the pain went away. |
