I am an advide bowhunter. My passion being elk hunting. There is nothing else like it.
The turning of fall leaves, a cool nip in the air, mid day downpours with snow occasionaly. The fleating wiff of elk musk on a breeze and the powerful bugle of a bull that vibrates threw you. You feel it as much as you hear it.
I did not tag an elk this year but I the most enjoyable elk hunt of my life. I was able to chase elk around, call elk in and talk to them with my calls. There was always something that prevented a shot and I did pass up a couple bulls. Had I tag out on thoes I passed on I wouldn't have had the experiences that I had. And they were better than tagging out early.
I have still had a great year other than that. I was able to share my 1st spring turkey hunt with my boy wich we tagged out opening morning.
And I was also lucky to draw a pronghorn tag and I tagged out on him after stalking in to under 20 yards to him and his does.
This has been my best year hunting by far! |

| Awsome pictures! Did you get the pronghorn with a bow? I have never hunted Bull elk (applied for a muzzeloader tag 7 years in a row now) one of these years I will get a tag. It does sound like an amaizing experience. Thanks for the pictures. |

| Yes, it was with a bow. I am pretty much strictly a bow hunter. I do use the shotgun on birds thow. I tried with a bow once but I lost too many arrows. :ne_nau: :lol8: |

I love this pic, I'd do about anything to have those days back. Love the little ones while you can, they grow up before you know it. You can't believe how fast it happens. Then all you have is memories, so make them while you can. |
