Thanks! I am not one to say to anyone to get out of Zion.... but it was warm in these canyons while it was snowing in Zion! :haha: The drive was not so bad either... I noticed on the way home Wayne HS where I drive my daughter to play basketball games all the time, so I actually do that drive all the time. The guys were a blast --- :lol8: there is nothing like having new men around to tease. --- I think they are afraid of me now. :eek2: --- but the downclimbing I loved! :2thumbs: Just be sure and wear something to protect your skin from the very rough sandstone.... bring a small pack... and put nothing hard it or you will have hole.. I have a couple of holes and there was nothing in mine except a harness and a water bag. |

As I drove through Capital Reef at 75 miles an hour.... I thought... Dang.. this sure is not ZION!!! --- but once in the canyons its pretty, but most of all fun ---- I like this tight stuff! |

bring a small pack - haven't checked that, my pack was huge
put nothing hard in it - I tossed Tom's can into it, knowing we are doing a dry canyon... duh!
I have a couple of holes - Well, after going through the grocery store and talking to all of my contractors when I got home and then took my pants off, I realized I have one big damn hole on my ass.... very nice.
Overall, it was a very fun time. Very easy going, great company and great weather. It was snowing all around us, but not over us. We got home in record time too (3 hours 30 mins). Would do those canyons in a day notice. :2thumbs:
So.... when are we going again?
And ya, I finally booted up my laptop, because listening to Email Archiving for 4 hours long gets a little boring :blahblah: |
