This morning I snowshoed up the Pine Hollow Trail to the Salamander Flat Trail intersection to finish up my sign project for the forest service. Since the mtn. bike club I belong to, URMB, adopted a few miles of trail around that area, this project was part of my service. Basically, the USFS is replacing many of the trail signs up AF Canyon and adding more signs that weren't there before at key intersections. A good project and your canyon fees at work. These pics are from 2 weeks ago. The posts were installed last fall but only part of the signs were ready to hang then, so my last two trips were to finish attaching the signs and placards. More snow up there than I have seen in years! If you plan on snowshoeing or snowmobiling this area, get there before 8:00am or you won't find a parking spot!
