Our target was a new hike --- some place near Pweap....

After crossing Clear Creek several times (which gets old fast in the winter) and wading in VERY deep snow.... we made the call to go to the canyon....... where there was not deep snow and it was far warmer ---- it was SPECTACULAR in there! Water was flowing!!!

Behunin was BEEEEEEE hu IN FUL!!!!! I am hoping for great photos! Heaps was prettier than I ever seen it. This snow thing at the bottom of the falls was so cool looking.

Thanks Bo! Great day with you ... as usual.

Nice pictures Bo. I'm getting tired of snow in Zion.
hoping a couple weeks off will help. Did you guys make the summit or turn around sooner?
the summit meaning the top of the divide.

Wow--Echo has to be a totally new canyon, sure has been a lot of water down it so far this winter.(maybe no scum holes) or maybe huge debris piles. Will be interesting in a couple months.

Nice pictures from what was a pretty day in Zion. After running into Bo out on Rt 9 we headed to Oscars for breakfast and then a drive into the main canyon. We ended up doing the Riverwalk but that was cut short with a lot of ice on the trail. There were people doing the Narrows and it looked cold!

Win

Waterfall at the alcove along Riverwalk:

The "Swamp' was running and very green:

A trio in the water, they had to go in where the trail was closed, it'll be a long day!:

Says it all:

I was thinking of running to Zion again today... it's suppose to be clear skies, yet the water will keep pouring.... Kurt you post on Echo has me thinking that might be fun to hit. I wonder if the rain cleared that trail or if there is ice?

Nice photos Win... I was thinking of hitting Weeping Rock, that it always spectacular after a hard winter rain!

Here is one of Behunin.... it was so wet beneath it was hard to shoot. If you go take an umbrella to keep your camera dry! :cool2: And another of Emerald Pools.
