I met up with some folks from the UWN along with Orvis1 and we hit the Rock Cliff arm of Jordanelle today.
The fishing was pretty slow, but most of us hooked up with a fish or two. The group didn't stay very long and ended up either going home or driving up to Currant Creek Reservoir for some cutts.
I opted to stay and hit some of those freshly abandoned holes. Orvis1 didn't get anything out of the hole at the nelle, so I hope CC treated him better.
I ended up limiting out on trout around 2:00pm and was forced to leave. Here are some pics of the planter rainbows. :haha:
Good times, but I can't wait until the ice melts. |

| I was up at the Rock Cliff side as well today. I had a pretty good day but all I could catch were perch. I think I iced 7 perch before we got our first rainbow. What were you using for the bows. I was jigging tube jigs tipped with euro larva. It worked well at the berry a couple weeks ago so I thought I'd try it again. A pretty good day fishin anyway. |

I got one bow from a 1/16 white jig head with a small red/white salty tube jig tipped with a meal worm.
The other three came from a "non-traditional" ice fishing tactic: weightless nightcrawler on a baitholder tipped with a chartreuse sparkle power egg. I just dropped it in the hole and gave it line as it drifted down slowly. I had to wait for quite a while before I got any takers, but it worked out. Most of the people around me were doing a little worse.
One group reported icing 25 fish or so. They were about 50 feet or so from the hill on the far side from the ramp. I guess that's where the channel is. It would've been nice to try over there, but not this time. |

| I have been skunked or caught one fish the last three weeks on the ice. It is my wife's birthday this weekend so I am staying off the hard deck this weekend but I will return! |
